She was featured as a journalist for The Keith Olbermann Evening News. Flanagan was a reporter with ESPN between 2000-2006. She worked for ESPN from 2000-2006, reporting regarding college sports. She served as a sideline journalist for College World Series, Women's Tennis Association's Tour Championships, NCAA football for men as well as the NCAA Women's Basketball Championships. In her role as a reporter at SportsCenter Flanagan regularly wrote stories about her coverage of the Lakers Dodgers Angels UCLA USC and the Chargers.
