Jeanie Marie Buss has been an American Entrepreneur for more than twenty years. She is currently the president and controlling owner of Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Buss comes originally from California is a member of an very wealthy family. Jerry Buss, her father was a successful entrepreneur in real estate who was the owner of Lakers Entertainment and Sports. After her parents divorced in 1972 She began feeling as if she was abandoned. At the age 19 she became the general manager for the Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis club. In the following years, she created the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. She held the position of president of Great Western Forum prior to becoming vice-president for the Lakers. Buss along with her five sisters inherited the Lakers majority ownership following the passing of Buss' father in 2013. Every sister was given the same voice.
